The City Clerk strives to constantly improve the administration of affairs of the office consistent with applicable laws and through sound management practices to produce continued progress and to fulfill our responsibilities to the community and others.

The City Clerk serves as a Registrar of Vital Statistics, Records Management Officer, and American's with Disabilities Act Coordinator.

​The City Clerk provides a variety of diverse services, including: 

• Advertising for public hearings, local laws, and ordinance
• Licensing: Bell Jar, Games of Chance, Dog, Garbage Removal, Hunting and Fishing, Marriage, Plumbing
• Permits: Handicapped Parking, Solicitors
• Transfer Station Tickets
• City Bidding according to Procurement Policy (advertising, collecting bids, bid opening)
• Countersigning of deeds for transfer of all property within the City
• Preparing Indian Lease Roll
• Preparing and distributing yearly budget documents
• Processing insurance claims
• Processing accounts payable 
• Recordkeeper of minutes, agreements, local laws, ordinances, and oaths of office
• Recording of minutes for City Council, Fire Department, Board of Public Utilities, Police Commission, and Recreation Commission
• Registrar duties (preparation of birth, death, and marriage documents)
